Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from us you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. These Terms comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

1. About Us

Ad Astra 1969 (Pty) Ltd is a registered South African company operating as an online diamond retailer. We source certified lab-grown and natural diamonds from the Nivoda global diamond marketplace and sell them directly to consumers via this website.

2. Products

All diamonds sold on this Site are GIA or IGI certified. Diamonds are sold as loose stones unless otherwise stated. We do not offer jewellery settings or mounting services. Inventory is updated every 6 hours from our supplier network.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) with a USD reference. The ZAR price at checkout is the binding purchase price. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.

4. Orders and Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order where a stone is no longer available or where a pricing error has occurred. You will be notified and any payment refunded in full.

5. Payment

We accept payment via PayFast, which supports major South African debit and credit cards, EFT and instant EFT. Payment must be made in full before an order is processed. We do not store card details.

6. Delivery

Diamonds are sourced from our supplier network after payment is confirmed and are delivered fully insured to your address. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. Contact us for any queries regarding your order.

8. Warranties

All diamonds are supplied with their original GIA or IGI certificate. The certificate constitutes the warranty of the stone's graded characteristics. Natural characteristics inherent to the grade do not constitute defects.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our liability for any claim is limited to the purchase price of the relevant item.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
