Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), we offer a 10-day return policy on all diamonds purchased from this Site.

1. Your Right to Return

You may return any diamond within 10 calendar days of the date of delivery for a full refund, provided the conditions below are met.

2. Return Conditions

  • The return request is submitted within 10 days of the delivery date
  • The diamond is in its original, unaltered condition — unset, unmounted and unmodified
  • The original GIA or IGI certificate accompanies the return
  • The diamond is returned in its original packaging
  • The diamond has not been laser-inscribed, re-polished or otherwise altered since delivery

3. Diamonds That Cannot Be Returned

  • The diamond has been set into jewellery or otherwise mounted
  • The original certificate has been lost, damaged or tampered with
  • The return is requested after 10 days of delivery
  • The diamond shows evidence of damage caused after delivery

4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email info@ddwinelands.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. We will respond within 2 business days with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN)
  3. Pack the diamond securely with its certificate and include the RAN on the outer packaging
  4. Ship using an insured, trackable courier — we recommend insuring for the full purchase value

5. Return Shipping Costs

Where the diamond does not match the certified specifications listed on our Site, we cover the return shipping cost. For all other returns (change of mind), return shipping is at your cost.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and verify your return (within 3 business days), we will process a full refund to your original payment method. Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear.

7. Defective or Incorrectly Described Items

If a diamond arrives damaged or does not match its certified specifications, contact us within 5 business days of delivery. We will arrange collection at our cost and issue a full refund or replacement.
